During the mid-1990’s, Jeff Bishop – a lifelong student of the guitar — had established himself as a respected performer and session musician on the mid-Atlantic original-music scene. As founding member of the roots-rock band, Earth To Bob, Jeff toured the eastern seaboard playing theaters, clubs and smaller venues, sharing the stage with well-known artists such as Ace Frehley, Eddie Money, Jeff Lang, Weird Al Yankovic, Jeffrey Gaines, The Clarks, and The Badlees.
On the touring circuit, Jeff met British recording artist, Robert Reilly (Buffalo Club, Fire Tribe, 78 West), and was hired on as a session guitarist to record on Robert’s 1998 and 2000 solo albums, “In Absence of Reason,” and “Sometime Now.” The business arrangement quickly developed into a friendship and partnership spanning over 20 years with the duo reforming as “Bishop Reilly” in 2014. Bishop Reilly will drop their next full-length release, “Below the Underdogs,” in January, 2021.
In 2016, Jeff formed CCM band “Call Me Found” with vocalist Hannah Devlin, and recorded & released the 7 song EP, “Beauty For Ashes” on Jeff’s Eastern Records label.
Highlights of Jeff’s musical career include 7 full-length studio albums, work with Grammy award winning artists, John Rollo (Joe Cocker, The Kinks), Chris Carmicheal (Taylor Swift, Buddy Guy), and Mike Tarsia (Stevie Wonder, Pink, Patti LaBelle, Lou Rawls, Teddy Pendergrass), many recording sessions, and formal study under guitarists Stephen Butler (Smash Palace), and Joseph Mayes, a protégé of Andres Segovia.
